September: Mother Earth Is Calling You

I feel a rising in the feminine energies in the world, within each person and in the consciousness of humanity as a collective. 

This is also a potent time of year (in the Northern hemisphere) for the Earth element in Chinese Medicine -  a time to connect to our roots, come into harmony with nature, and honour the rich food sources available to us when we look after the environment.

Can you feel this within yourself? The power and strength of creation, the tenderness and warmth supporting all life, the richness and abundance of food in the ground, trees and hedgerows.

In indigenous cultures the Earth is known as the feminine aspect, and many people know her as Mother Earth. We, of course, are made of her substance - though we often forget and see ourselves as separate from other life on this planet.

She is calling you back to her.

There are an enormous number of projects happening around the world at the moment. Which are calling you?

Here at Creative Soul Therapies, we support The Ocean Clean-Up - a huge operation working to clean up 50% of the world's garbage patches in 5 years with pioneering technology.

  • Go out picking blackberries or plums, or book onto a professional foraging course
  • Collect or source healthy, in season foods from your local farmer's market to nourish your body eg Ten Mile Menu in Oxfordshire 
  • Get connected with your body through movement or bodywork - think dancing, sport, massage etc.
  • Donate to organisations that work for the benefit of the planet, such as The Ocean Clean-Up, Greenpeace UK or Pachamama Alliance
