Working With Me As An INFJ-Type Practitioner

I am a big fan of personality tests, as a way of understanding myself and others.

Many people have come across the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which I have used since career days at University.

The comprehensive test indicates your preferences based on 4 main characteristics. There are a total of 16 possible personality types, each with their strengths, challenges and perceptions of themselves and the world.

For me, my personality type (as defined by the MBTI) has shifted in the 10+ years when I have from time to time taken the 'test'. Not the fundamental introversion/extroversion - I will always remain an introvert! - but other facets of the indicator.

I currently fit into the type INFJ, meaning I am an introvert with preferences for intuition, feeling and organising.

As I reflect on my preferences and how these form part of my approach as a practitioner, I see that INFJ offers me a number of gifts.

I have a strong sense of ethics, a heart full of empathy and a keen perception about others.

Sometimes the INFJ type is referred to as the Protector or Counsellor. Both of these roles describe my work as I walk alongside people on their healing journey and life path.

It is natural for me to seek out meaning, purpose and connection. I am striving to create a positive impact in the world.

So what can you expect when working with me as a client or colleague?

You will find me to be an advocate for your greatest healing, wellbeing and purpose.

You may find me quiet. I will be listening with empathy and making connections in my introverted brain!

I will be very interested in your emotional and spiritual worlds, and I will seek out your unique gifts and talents.

You will hear me offer you my feelings and thoughts based on my intuition.

You will experience me as gentle, kind, calm...and possibly mysterious.

I am motivated by a higher power to work with you to realise your potential.

And as a bonus you will also find me organised in scheduling appointments and replying to emails or messages!
