And what are the subtle energy bodies?

The subtle bodies include the chakra system, the aura and the channels of chi - the energy system described by Chinese medicine. These are usually sensed, although some people are able to see them.

The chakras are like energetic wheels through the length of your body and beyond, from the earth to heaven. Your aura is made up of layers of subtle energy which emanate from your physical body. And the meridians are the channels which allow chi to move freely within your body - your vital force and your spiritual energy.

You may only notice your subtle bodies if something becomes unbalanced. All of the subtle systems can become blocked, stuck or heavy through accumulation of negative beliefs, fear states etc.

The majority of people hardly need to think about their subtle energy (although it would be great if non-HSPs did). But as a HSP the likelihood is you are more in tune (and affected by) other people's moods, crowded spaces, particular foods or products, and probably a lot more.

You are therefore likely to be more aware of how this feels in your body, as the physical senses relate to the subtle systems within and around us. Perhaps you have restless nights around the full moon, a feeling of tiredness or malaise after being in busy places, or a queasy sensation at a geographical location. 

As a Highly Sensitive Person, it is vital that you are in good physical, emotional and energetic health. You can learn to connect with your aura, your chakras and the chi (energy) within your body for vitality and balance.
