The influence of previous generations, their trauma and triumphs, continues to exert a strong effect on their descendants.

Where there remain unresolved and unspoken issues from the past, it acts like a ‘gap’ or ‘void’ that descendants unconsciously feel. Like an unnamed place at the table.

Did you catch a moonbeam?

Did you feel her shine into the deepest parts of your heart and life?

Now, we are alight in places where the light had not reached before, and there’s no going back.

It was only a matter of weeks ago that I was in a group discussing the Kintsugi pottery of Japan - the beauty of cracked and broken pots and crockery lovingly restored to something more beautiful than they were before.

This full moon is both the illumination of our broken or vulnerable places, and the opportunity to shine a light between the cracks. What we have thought of in the past as our shadow, becomes our greatest asset and unique offering to the world.

As we sit on the cusp of July 16th’s full moon and solar eclipse, we may be feeling both anticipation and apprehension.

There have been many changes happening in our lives, and the full moon and eclipse is like the gateway to the next stage. What do we find as we stand upon the threshold?

We are at a beautiful time right now, if we have the courage to see it.

The illusions are being stripped away, like the sun rising lifts the mists and shines a light where before there was darkness.

We are being called to step forward. We are being called to fall deeply into Big Love.

The creative and destructive forces of the cosmos are always at play. Life and Death, and all of their sub-personalities.

We see them in external clues like seasons: in the flowering of the spring and the letting-go-leaves of autumn. We see them in the births and deaths within our own families. And within ourselves there exist the same forces - of letting go and of welcoming the new.

We have been experiencing a great deal of change, both in our outer worlds and deep within our inner worlds.

This is collective too - as political upheaval and environmental instability rock various parts of the globe - and we are called to do our part in finding our way back to harmony.

We are experiencing a huge wave of change right now - kick-started at the beginning of March by Uranus shifting into Taurus for its next seven year cycle, and certainly amplified by the huge winds here in the UK. It feels like everything is changing.

A breaking of the bond between mother and infant can happen at any time - in utero, during birth or while growing up.

The breaking of this sacred bond between mother and child, no matter the cause, will have significant effects on the developing baby’s connection to self and spirit.

Period pains, cramping, emotional mood swings… the list goes on. For many women, menstruation can be painful, challenging and generally just gets in the way.

Learning to recognise the wisdom of your body, rejoice in your capacity for creativity and to reduce the pain associated with periods is a journey many women have taken. Perhaps now it is your time to reclaim your female power.
