Exploring Neurodivergence: The Multisensory Person
Last month I wrote an introductory piece about my own emerging self-discovery of my neurodivergent mind. You can read it again here.
I have continued to explore this aspect of myself, and read some more on the topic too. Here is the next chapter of my thoughts and feelings about this inner quality which affects so much of my life.
Are You A Rainbow Fish or A Rhombus?
Recently I’ve been exploring my own neurodivergence.
My brain works in this funny way. It’s quirky, but not quite so much that I would fit into a diagnosis. Or at least none that I have yet come across.
Depression Is: Guest Blog by Ruby Glasspool
This is a guest blog by Ruby Glasspool of Sacred Star Journeys. I hope you enjoy her beautiful words, and if you are suffering from depression, or know someone who is, I hope that they bring you some comfort too.
The Importance of Being Gentle
I’m writing this for everybody who is feeling the ongoing knock-on effects of coronavirus, whether through health, mental wellbeing, local restrictions or who, like us here in the UK, are facing another long period of national lockdown.
Right now it is more important than ever that we be gentle with ourselves and kind to our own hearts, minds and bodies.
Finding Ourselves in the Darkness: Re-emergence and Resilience
Days will be getting longer and, though the warm months are still some time away, we will be finding more light in our worlds.
What did you learn about yourself in your journey into the darkness?
The main theme that keeps coming to me is resilience.
Descending Into The Darkness: Bones and Trees
We are continuing on our journey towards the Winter Solstice as the darkness wraps itself closer and closer around our days and the cold climbs more easily into our bones.
This is a time of stillness, of cooling. Of slowing down your awareness and breathing deeply into your bones.
Descending Into The Darkness: Gathering Your Spirit
We are being called to gather our spirit for the wintertime. To gather our spirit by calling back the threads of our past experiences and future projections. Bringing them back into ourselves to conserve energy, to focus on our inner world and to wait for the next chapter.
November 2020: Descending Into The Darkness
For those of us in the northern hemisphere, we feel the growing of darkness as we travel towards the Winter Solstice in December.
As the days grow shorter and the darkness stretches its cool air around us, we are invited to descend deeper into the darkness.
Live Your Own Dream - Not Somebody Else's
How often have you looked at someone else and thought “I wish”?
How often have you looked at yourself and said “I can’t”?
Do you feel a sense of incompleteness or restriction of your inner self?
Thinking In Black And White
Systemic, structural racism has been raging beneath the surface of the UK’s culture for centuries and it permeates every aspect of our current lives, whether we realise it or not. Like a disease, we are all affected and no-one is immune.
